東京外国語大学アジア・アフリカ言語文化研究所では、来る 2009年12月5日(土) ・ 6日(日) に国際会議 “The Otherness and Beyond:Dynamism between Group Formation and Identity in Modern Muslim Societies” を開催いたします。
イスラーム世界と欧米の関係、宗派・民族紛争など、グローバリゼーションの進む現代社会の抱える諸問題を、「他者性」をキーワードに根源に立ち返って考え直そうとするものです。
なお、この国際会議は文部科学省特別研究教育経費による中東イスラーム研究教育プロジェクト(2005-09年度)の最後を飾るものとなります。
